Surah No

84

Surah Al-Inshiqaq emphasizes the Day of Judgment and the final separation of the righteous and the wicked. The key themes include:

  • Cosmic transformation: The Surah begins with a description of the splitting of the sky, an event marking the end of the world. The heavens and the earth will be completely transformed, reflecting the gravity of the Day of Judgment.

  • Accountability: The Surah stresses that every individual will be held accountable for their deeds. The righteous will be rewarded, and the wicked will face the consequences of their actions.

  • The inevitability of judgment: The Surah concludes with a clear message that everyone’s deeds will be revealed, and the outcome of the Day of Judgment is inescapable.

  • Reminder of the Day of Judgment: Surah Al-Inshiqaq emphasizes the reality and certainty of the Hereafter, encouraging believers to live their lives in preparation for their final reckoning.

  • Accountability for actions: It teaches that everyone’s deeds, whether good or bad, will be fully accounted for by Allah, and no one will be unjustly treated.

  • The fate of the righteous and the wicked: It highlights the ultimate distinction between those who follow righteousness and those who reject the truth.

  • Strengthens belief in the afterlife, encouraging Muslims to reflect on their actions and live righteously.

  • Encourages reflection on the Day of Judgment, helping believers to maintain mindfulness of the consequences of their deeds.

  • Spiritual growth: Reciting the Surah helps to develop a strong sense of accountability and encourages believers to act with sincerity and righteousness.

  1. Reminder of the Hereafter:

    • The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: “Whoever recites Surah Al-Inshiqaq, it will be a means of intercession for him on the Day of Judgment.” (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

  2. The certainty of accountability:

    • The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Each person will be raised according to their deeds, and they will be judged fairly by Allah.” (Sahih Muslim)
