The importance of night prayer (Tahajjud): The Surah urges the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) to stand in prayer during the night, except for a small portion, as a means of gaining closeness to Allah.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The best prayer after the obligatory prayer is the night prayer.” (Sahih Muslim)

Allah says in the Quran: “Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” (94:6) – This concept of enduring through hardship is reflected in the message of Surah Al-Muzzammil.
