Surah No

55

Surah Ar-Rahman is a Meccan Surah that highlights Allah’s mercy, blessings, and power. It repeatedly asks the question:
“So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?” (فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ)—urging reflection on divine blessings.

Key themes include:

  • Allah’s mercy as the foundation of creation and guidance.

  • The countless blessings bestowed upon humans and jinn.

  • The signs of Allah in nature—the sun, moon, stars, seas, and human life.

  • The reality of resurrection, judgment, and the rewards of Paradise.

  • The contrast between the righteous and the wicked—showing the rewards for the believers and punishment for the disbelievers.

  • A reminder of gratitude: This Surah encourages recognizing and appreciating Allah’s endless favors.

  • Proofs of Allah’s power: It emphasizes how everything in creation is perfectly designed by Allah.

  • Hope and encouragement: The Surah reassures believers about the reward of Jannah and Allah’s mercy.

  • Brings peace and contentment by reminding us of Allah’s blessings.

  • Protection from hardships—many scholars recommend reciting it for relief from worries.

  • Encourages gratitude and strengthens faith in Allah’s mercy.

Hadith & Teachings:
